The Tonkawa Traditions Festival was started by
the Keep Crawford Beautiful organization, a volunteer group committed to
enhancing the Crawford community. The festival is usually located in the heart
of Crawford in the historic Tonkawa Park. This years festival will be held at the Crawford Saddle Club. The arena is located just behind the football field in the park. The fun-filled day begins at 9:00 a.m.with an exciting parade down Main Street. Following the parade, the
park will open for an entire day of fun, food, and fellowship.
Festival-goers can look forward to an array of
vendors. Come and shop for the perfect holiday gift among the arts and
crafts, antiques, jewelry, candles, wood-crafted items … the list goes
on and on.
If all of the shopping makes you hungry, there is
a variety of food available to satisfy any taste bud. Not only does the
food taste great, it keeps the atmosphere festive. Other activities
include a great kid’s corner, an entertainment stage featuring local
talent, and a barbecue cook-off sanctioned by the Lone Star Barbecue
Society.
A Community Worship Service starting at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday October 21st will conclude the weekend.
